Aims

In this assignment, you will create an application “Travel helper”. The application should calculate the distance between two capitals in Australia, as well as the cost for the fuel. For

example:

The distance between Sydney and Melbourne is 878km. Based on your car fuel consumption, you will need 61.5l of fuel that cost around $92.

Your application should:

1.  Allow the user to choose the starting point and destination;
2.  Allow the user to insert fuel consumption (for her/his car);
3.  Present the calculated distance, amount of fuel and cost;
4.  Allow the user to change starting point and destination and make as many calculations as (s)he wants.

Your Android application must support all popular Android devices and screen sizes. You should record which one you have tested in your report. Your iOS application must support all popular iOS devices and screen sizes. You should record which one you have tested in your report.

Requirements
1. Design Requirements

•  The applications should have an icon and logo.
•  The capitals should be presented by name and logo/image (e.g. SYDNEY ).
•  The user should easily navigate thru application’s layouts (scenes). The application may use a navigation menu and every layout (scene) should have a caption.
• If there is a need, the application may display additional Toasts, Snackbars or Alerts.

2. Functionalities
The user should choose a starting point (from the offered options).
 The user should choose a destination (from the offered options).

1.  The user should input amount for the user’s car fuel consumption (the app should allow inserting only numbers/decimal numbers).
2.  The application should display the calculated distance, amount of fuel and cost.
3.  The application may provide simple instructions for the user (in the form of tips).
4.  The user can choose a new starting point, destination or change the car’s fuel consumption.

The calculations for the distance need to be done based on the “distance list” previously stored into the application (table below). The calculation for the cost amount needs to be done based on the average fuel cost (per litre), also stored in the app.

 The applications should be tested using the emulators within the Android studio and Xcode or by physical devices.
