The world’s leading technology firms are focused on developing active control systems based on the use of a network of sensors to monitor not only energy consumption and reduce CO2 output within buildings but also improve living spaces through better security. Three such files will be made available for data recorded at the following locations: living room, main bedroom, and kitchen. 
Data loaded from these files are then used to 
(a) Decide whether to turn ON or OFF the associated devices (i.e. heating, ventilation, and lights). 
(b) Compute the energy consumption based on how long the devices have been ON on a daily basis. Daily Energy consumption (per KiloJoules (KJ)) is calculated as using equation 1.0 below.

The information in Table 1.0 indicates the amount of energy consumed per hour when the respective devices are ON. Energy consumption per hr Lights 100 KJ Heating 300 KJ Ventilator 250 KJ.
