• inequity in the distribution of educational resources
• inadequate support for teachers in schools
• developing a culture of dialogue and encounter rather than a culture of polarisation (e.g., in relation to immigrants, asylum seekers or refugees) (health sciences, education, arts, humanities, business or law)
• online organisations (e.g., social media organisations) working with countries with human rights abuses
• violence against or persecution of human rights lawyers (or advocates)
• destructive economic systems
• the fragmentation of communities (health sciences, education, the arts, humanities, business or law etc.)
Make it easy for yourself and choose an issue which has a clear connection with your (future) professional role.
• You must explicitly address the challenges that your professional community experiences in realising the common good in relation to this issue.
• You must name your profession, and not leave it to inference on the basis of the topic.
• You must discuss your future profession from communal point of view – how it impacts on the whole professional community and not just upon you personally in this role.
