To this end the Government has approved the addition of a number of new staff to be recruited into the section you manage, the Maritime Enforcement Group. They will be involved in future maritime operations. To facilitate the process, the government approved funding for an induction program to be conducted by Charles Sturt University. This has now been completed. (Note: The induction program covered Modules 1-5 of the CSU subject CUS 203, Maritime Enforcement and Regulation.) Soon you will be meeting with the new recruits to brief them on what you consider are the most important aspects when undertaking this role.
