The fashion industry is named to be one of the biggest industries in the world today, with fast fashion being its means to reach the masses. As opposed to the other industries, fashion has seen a growth in all aspects from manufacturing to consuming and selling fashion articles.

In order to help curb this inconveniences cased by fast fashion, this paper looks at different theoretical views and tries and make sense of them in the fashion context to provide an alternative to fast fashion. Through this paper, we look and understand the social, political and more importantly the economic views and opinions prevailing in the world before us. While some may argue that theories must be pertaining to only one of the three mentioned previously, the paper talks about how three of them are equally responsible in influencing fast fashion. A relationship between humans and materials has always prevailed in society. The way we often measure ourselves and others is also through our possessions. Interaction in the modern times is more seen as an exchanges enabled through or with materials. Our lives as humans have become intertwined with things and it is inevitable to not be in contact with them at any given point of time. In this day and time, where the importance of all things
