Understanding Schizophrenia: Prevalence, Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment Options

Instructions:Choose one of the mental disorders that we have studied in this course and write a report to discuss the following:
• Prevalence of the disorder
• Causes of the disorder
• Main/common symptoms of the disorder
• One (1) biomedical treatment and one (1) recovery-focused treatment, and the strengths and limitations of each

The disorders you can choose from are:
• Schizophrenia
• Substance use disorder
• Major depressive disorder
• Anxiety disorders (you can choose a specific anxiety disorder, or discuss in general)
•Dementia

• A minimum of 15 references to support your ideas

• Sources must be from within the last 10 years.

• Sources must be credible (i.e peer- reviewed journal articles)
• You can use subheadings
• Academic language must be used
•Use APA 7 referencing
