Task:
Marketing Research Report In the first stage of the term project, a survey was developed to collect some quantitative data. Now, the survey data has been collected. You can download the data set from Qualtrics website. For the 2nd stage, your group task is to analyse and interpret the survey data collected using SPSS. This assessment will test your knowledge and ability in analysing quantitative data by using a variety of statistical methods learned in class. Students will work in the same groups as in stage 1. This data analysis & findings report is due on Friday by 11:59pm (Week 13). And you will be required to present formally in tutorial sessions (Week 12 &13). You will be required to use various statistical techniques to analyse the survey data collected.
(1) You need to get yourselves familiar with the survey and its corresponding data. What information has been collected by the survey? What does each variable (column) represent? You need to connect the data with the survey questions.
(2) Think about what are the questions you want to answer in order to achieve the project objective: What questions can be answered by using the data collected? List all the questions that you want to answer AND questions that can be answered by the survey data. State hypotheses (Ho and Ha) you are interested in testing which answers the research questions.
(3) Based on the data you collected and the hypotheses stated, select variables you are interested in finding relationships for (identify the question numbers from the questionnaire). Explain why you chose the variables for each hypothesis and describe how the variables are measured (e.g., explain the type of measurement scale).
(4) Provide descriptive statistics (e.g., sample size, mean and variance of focal variables) of the sample data you collected. Choose a specific test to answer each of the hypotheses you have listed. Describe each of your analysis techniques and why you perform those analyses. You have to use each of the following statistical techniques at least once in the assignment: ? One-sample T-test ? Independent-samples T-test ? Paired-samples T-test ? Correlation Analysis
Multiple Regression Analysis Present all your data analysis & findings here. Display key results creatively using visuals, graphs, tables, charts etc. Displays must be commented. You’re free to use other necessary techniques learned in/outside this course (e.g., descriptive statistics, tabulation). For each question, you will need to specify what test(s) was (were) used and what information from the survey e.g., question(s)/variable(s) was used.
(5) For each specific test conducted, interpret the results and transform the statistical results into words (findings). You can describe or present percentages, descriptive statistics, hypotheses results (e.g., reject null or fail to reject), and results from statistical analysis, graphs, tables, etc.. What general themes or conclusions can you derive from your results? Ensure that they correspond to your research objectives.
