Description
Report 1 comprises up to 1000 words in which you describe an example you experienced from your past practice related to public health. This may be as part of paid work, volunteering or community advocacy. Start with approximately 200 words to describe how you displayed, or observed someone else display, leadership . Your description should draw on your text and further readings to define leadership-acknowledging that what you describe does not have to be by someone in a formal leadership position. Spend up to 600 words using a theory of leadership to explain your 200-word description. Using examples,show clearly how the theory of leadership that you have selected explains the example of leadership.
Conclude with up to 200 words reflecting on what you have learned about leadership from applying theory to the example of leadership.
Report 2 comprises up to 1000 words in which you describe your hopes for providing leadership in your future practice related to public health. This may be as part of paid work, volunteering or community advocacy. Start with approximately 200 words to describe a public health related example where you hope to provide leadership in the future.
As in Report 1, what you describe does not have to be part of a formal leadership position. Spend up to 600 words using a theory of leadership (different from the one you used for Report 1) to predict how youcould behave in order to Display effective leadership. Conclude with up to 200 words reflecting on what you have learned about leadership from applying theory to your hopes for future leadership.
Criteria for grading
•Reflection about your own past experience of leadership supported by explicitly linking theory to practice
