Vitsol Dissertation Guidelines Credit Distribution Evaluation Assignment

Assignment Task

As per the curriculum approved by the BoS and Academic Council, the VITSOL students shall submit a dissertation at the final year in partial fulfilment of the requirement for the degree of Bachelor of Law in accordance with the rules prescribed hereunder.

Credit distribution and evaluation:

a. There shall be 10 mandatory credits for the dissertation. Distribution of the 10 credits shall be of 3:5:2 viz. 3 credits for the course work, 5 credits for the written submission and 2 credits for the viva.

b. The course work, topic selection, material collection and getting the consent of the supervisor shall be completed in the ninth semester.

c. The students have to attend the course work classes to be notified by the institution.

d. The students shall submit the dissertation one month before the end of tenth semester or as notified by the school.

e. Upon submission of dissertation the viva shall be conducted by the external examiner. The supervisor of the student shall be a member of the evaluation board, along with other members decided by the school.

Supervisor

a. The students shall be allotted with the supervisor by the institution depending on the subject area in which he/she wants to do a dissertation in the ninth semester beginning.

b. The student shall meet the supervisor at least once in a week and whenever the supervisor wants to meet.

c. All periodical meeting shall be recorded in the attendance register.
