Functional Requirements

Listed below are the basic requirements of your application. You need to refer to the Database section for the database schema.

1. A simple user registration is required. Users are required to login their usernames and click a button “Start” to start the game. If a username is not found in the database, add a new one, otherwise use the existing one. No password is required.

2. You should use a cookie to remember the username. Next time when users open the web page again, the username for the last game will automatically appear on the login screen.

3. When a user clicks the "Start" button, your client web page will download one mathematic question from a php server and then ask user to answer.

4. A database which contains two tables. One table store the username. Another table stores the questions and users' corresponding answers.

5. Once a user answers a question, your app will show user’s answer is correct or wrong and then save the corresponding result (username, question, answer, your answer) to the database.

6. When user finishes a question, two buttons will appear on the web page, one is "Continue" and other is "Quit". If user click on the "Continue" button, the game will be started again. If user click on "Quit" button, the game will be stopped and show user's Questions Log on the web page.
