Textures & Colourways Composition Instruction Checklist

1. Inspiration & Visual Research

• Choose 3 or more inspirational fashion images based on your selected trend

• Colour-correct all images

• Use correct image size and save properly

2. Background Image

• Choose 1 background image

• Colour-correct and resize appropriately

• Ensure it aligns with your chosen colour theme

3. Garment Selection

• Choose 1 garment based on your trend:

  • A black-and-white drawing created in Illustrator, or

  • A garment drawing sourced from WGSN

Colour Swatch Creation

• Choose 3 or more colour swatches

• Create swatch shapes

• Save colours to a custom library:

  • Open the Libraries panel

  • Create a new set and name it

  • Use the Eyedropper Tool to sample colours

  • Click the ( + ) icon to save colours

• These colours should be reused in future projects

• Create a new file: 11 × 17 inches (landscape)

  • 3 colour swatches

  • 3 garments in different colourways
