Your task for this assignment is to conduct a review detailing how dietary intervention can be used to improve the management of a disease. You have the option to choose any disease that is part of the content of this unit (except obesity as it is already covered in fact sheet). After choosing your topic your task is to write a critical literature review which outlines the basis for using a dietary approach of your choice to improve the management of that disease / condition. The review should discuss if there is enough current evidence of that dietary strategy being effective control of the disease and to explore the mechanisms by which your chosen dietary approach benefits those with the disease. Please make sure that you are looking at the control of the disease and not the prevention. The key point is that you are investigating whether or not there is a benefit to the patient once they have the disease and if there is a benefit what are the mechanisms behind it?
