This research will focus on family conflict as the main cause of youth experiencing homelessness in the states of Victoria. It will discuss the various causes like family conflict, domestic violence, poverty and poor relationships within the city. The research will be done by taking a survey of 100 youths in the city. Questionnaire will be prepared for the survey. Then the data will be collected through probability sampling technique from the population. This will be done using random selection process. Then the responses will be analysed in excel spreadsheet for data analysis process. The literature reviews have discussed on, the types of family conflicts that have raised in the city and concepts that are related to the homelessness in the city. It focuses on the family types that resulted in homelessness situation among the youths.

Young people affected by homelessness

According to the author's Grace& Gill, 2018, there are several risk factors involved due to the homelessness situation in the state. It can cause trauma, socio-economic disadvantage, mental & health issues and be like a migrant in their region. This is due to lack of resources in the region, inflexibility in the eligibility criteria, improper service integration and complex systems in the state (Gill, Ooi and Chiodo 2018). The major effect of homelessness is due to unemployment and mental illness. The youths have no exit options in their working place. Therefore, they find difficulty in finding out their suitable employment. Hence, they do not find suitable and sustainable employment. They can only be hoped by developing the best employment programs in the street of the state.  

According to the author Gwadz, 2017, there are various services and programs initiated in the state for the homeless youth. Some of the programs, like Drop-In centres and multi-program settings. But, such programs have a little impact on the psychological outcome of the youths. The author has used the Quality Assessment Model to rate the programs. They said that the quality of these settings is very important (Gwadz et al. 2017). The design of staffs, programs and youths are not properly distributed in the states. Therefore, there was no change in the psychological effect of the youths.

According to the author Joe Flood, 2017, the youths are not able to afford the accommodations due to changes in house price, high rents and lower incomes. The price for median houses has increased at a rate of 60 per cent over the last ten years. The pension rates have been increased with 60 per cent & other benefits have been increased with 26 per cent. But, the increasing rates of these benefits are not uniform in every location of Victoria. Just before the global financial crisis, the rental price has increased to over 12 per cent in the year 2006. During those times, the immigrants demand more for rental housing in the state. This caused higher inflation in the housing price in the state (Flood 2017). The main problem is due to the higher rental price with the growing population. But, after 2009, the government had established various measures for the rental markets. They introduced the Nation Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS). In a certain level, the immigrants were moderated. Still, the housing prices in the Melbourne region of state Victoria. Hence, the people found it unaffordable. People used to go through illness, rough sleeping and suffers due to over-crowding. During the year 2013-14, the people in the region have to go through family violence. This is because low-income people are not able to afford the housing facilities after the severe financial crisis in the regions. Therefore, rough sleepers affected various mental illness problem and faced psychological problems. The state has also initiated several innovative programs in the city for reducing the impact on the young generations. Hence, the authors have studied that the real problem of this uneven situation is government action. The government is not taking actions on lack of housing problems. The state has also faced overcrowding in the region.
